How does "Both teams to score or Over 2.5 goals" work?

This market has two betting options, YES or NO.

The selection "Yes" is winning when either both teams score or over 2.5 goals are scored in total.

This means that :

  • If both teams score, the bet is won
  • If there are over 2.5 goals scored in total, the bet is won

The selection "No" is winning when neither of the outcomes above happens, which analytically means we would have one of the following scores: 2-0, 1-0, 0-0, 0-1, 0-2.

This means that :
  • If both teams score, the bet is lost
  • If there are over 2.5 goals scored, the bet is lost
  • If neither of the sections of the bet is achieved, the bet is won

You might be asking, then why the "or" in the market's title. As you can see, we cannot offer the same result at two markets for two different response options (YES or NO).

That means if we offered Both teams to score as correct and won for YES, then for NO we could only offer Neither of the teams to score.

Also, if we offered Over 2.5 goals as won for YES, then for NO we could only offer The teams don't score 2.5 goals.
